Hyundai Motor Company unveiled its vision for the North American commercial vehicle business with a focus on eco-friendly solutions.

Plug Power, a leading provider of hydrogen engines and fueling solutions, has announced the launch of its new high-power stationary hydrogen-powered fuel cell system for commercial electric vehicles (EV) fleets. The company claims that the system combines its 18,000-gallon (81,829 litres) liquid hydrogen tank with its megawatt-scale PEM fuel cell solution, providing over 60MWh of instantaneous energy to charge more than 600 EVs.

ZeroAvia, a company focused on developing zero-emission aviation solutions, has received delivery of a 76-passenger Bombardier Q400 regional turboprop from Alaska Airlines. The aircraft is slated to be retrofitted with the company’s hydrogen-electric propulsion technology, paving the way for a potential test flight as early as next year.

Nikola Corp. and Voltera have announced a partnership to create up to 50 HYLA-branded hydrogen fueling stations across North America over the next five years. This collaboration aims to develop an open network of commercial hydrogen refuelling stations that will support the deployment of zero-emission fuel cell electric trucks.

United Hydrogen Limited (UHL) has announced that the valuation of its investee H2X has increased from $69.1m to $100m, resulting in an immediate uplift in valuation for UHL’s shareholders who invested in the pre-IPO capital raise. As one of the largest shareholders in H2X, UHL believes that it will deliver significant value in 2023 as H2X heads towards a listing on the London Stock Exchange.

Amp Energy, one of the largest hydrogen developers in Australia, has partnered with Iron Road Ltd. to develop green hydrogen at scale on the Cape Hardy Port Precinct in South Australia. The agreement will leverage Amp’s expertise in developing electrolyzer capacity and Iron Road’s Central Eyre Iron Project (CEIP), which has the country’s largest magnetite ore reserve.

UK energy developer Carlton Power is partnering with mining companies Imerys and Sibelco to supply hydrogen from its Langage Green Hydrogen project.
