ENOWA, NEOM’s subsidiary for energy, water, and hydrogen, has developed the region’s first Hydrogen and Innovation Development Center (HIDC). The new facility, which is located in NEOM’s advanced manufacturing and innovation city, intends to speed the creation of lab-to-market solutions and businesses across the spectrum of hydrogen, green fuel generation, utilization, and transportation. Incheon’s Cheongna district will see the construction of a hydrogen manufacturing plant that will be operational by 2024. It is part of the government’s ambition to make Incheon into Korea’s hydrogen economy hub, which includes converting all of the city’s buses to hydrogen-powered vehicles.
