Global Energy Ventures has secured essential regulatory clearances to begin planning for the construction of a massive green hydrogen production and export facility on aboriginal territory off the coast of Darwin in the Northern Territory. GEV intends to build a 2.8 GW solar photovoltaic array, a 30km transmission line, and a green hydrogen and manufacturing facility on Melville Island, the larger of the two Tiwi Islands. Hyzon Motors applauded the New South Wales, Victorian, and Queensland governments’ announcement today of a tri-state collaborative commitment to develop a sustainable hydrogen refueling network for heavy transport and logistics along Australia’s eastern seaboard. The governments of New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland have signed a Memorandum of Understanding about the hydrogen refueling routes, which will begin with the Hume Highway, the Pacific Highway, and the Newell Highway.
