American component manufacturer BorgWarner has launched the first mass-production hydrogen injection system capable of bringing the benefits of zero CO2 emissions, high efficiency, capacity maintenance (unaffected by batteries), and rapid refueling to the vehicles to which it will be applied – at the moment, construction vehicles. “This company milestone reinforces our long-standing relationship with our customer,” said Davide Girelli, vice president and general manager of BorgWarner Fuel Injection Systems. “We are pleased to provide them with a complete hydrogen injection system, which includes fuel injectors, rails, an electronic control unit, and system integration.” BorgWarner, as a hydrogen technology solution provider,…
IEA provides 10-Point Plan to European Union for reducing reliance on Russian supplies by over a third while supporting European Green Deal, with emergency options to go further.
Sakhumnotho Power has teamed with Keren Energy Investments to conduct a Proof-of-Concept (POC) project to demonstrate the production of green hydrogen at a Namaqua Engineering-supplied site in Vredendal, Western Cape. While the global hydrogen economy, which aims to produce hydrogen as a future fuel source, is still in its infancy, it is advancing rapidly. As South Africa’s electricity crisis highlights the critical need for reliable, sustainable, and renewable alternatives to the country’s heavy reliance on coal-generated electricity, green hydrogen usage suggests a feasible clean energy option. In South Africa, where the war for energy generation and availability is still ongoing,…
Cerro de Pasco Resources Inc. subsidiary H2-SPHERE GmbH, formed in December 2021 in collaboration with Prof Dr. Bernhard Dold, has signed an exclusive agreement with the German Aerospace Center (DLR) to jointly develop techniques for converting mining waste into green hydrogen and other byproducts. DLR will do an investigation (6 months) and then conduct laboratory testing, resulting in a template for industrial-scale manufacturing. DLR – The World’s Leading Technology Company DLR is the Federal Republic of Germany’s aeronautics and space research center. It is involved in research and development in the areas of aeronautics, space, energy, transportation, security, and digitalization.…

Boundary Layer Technologies, a marine technology business based in California, has announced its operational plans and engineering design for the ARGO zero-emissions hydrofoil containership. The business intends to operate these vessels in order to build a zero-emission shipping service capable of substituting for air freight along key intra-Asian trade corridors. The ARGO ship has a gross payload capacity of 200 tons, a range of up to 1500 nautical miles, and a cruise speed of 40 knots, more than double the speed of ordinary container ships. According to the business, this performance would enable door-to-door transportation times to be only 15…
Tree Energy Solutions (TES) is accelerating its previously stated intentions to transform the German port of Wilhelmshaven into a global center for Green Gas imports. The expedited process will ensure Germany and Europe’s alternative energy security while also speeding the increase of Green Gas imports over time. With Green Hydrogen at its heart, the Wilhelmshaven green gas terminal is sustainable, carbon-neutral, and transitional, satisfying both the immediate and long term energy requirements of the German government. A sustainable energy center for Wilhelmshaven that also accommodates LNG as a backup source of energy in light of the present energy crisis TES’…
The South Australian industrial city of Whyalla has been revealed as the preferred location for a $593 million green hydrogen project that the state opposition plans to build if it wins this month’s state election.
