‘Cryotruck’ is a new project uniting MAN, the Technical University of Munich, and the start-up Cryomotive. The objective is to develop a truck capable of 1,000 kilometers on hydrogen cryogas. Refueling takes only ten minutes. Automobiles powered by hydrogen and utilizing a fuel cell in the future appear to be a non-starter. The electric vehicle is superior in practically every way. As a result, the majority of manufacturers have ceased investing in the development of hydrogen vehicles. However, the situation is reversed for trucks. For example, Daimler Vehicles and the Volvo Group have been collaborating on efficient fuel cells for…
Reganosa will conduct trials in Spain of novel technology for the production and storage of green hydrogen (H2). The Galician energy giant will build a digital tool to assist in the creation of H2 through waste recovery in collaboration with the Technological Institute of Industrial Mathematics (Itmati) and a consortium of prominent firms in the field. This announcement was made this morning by Roco Vega, leader of the Reganosa Digitization department, during a technical symposium on energy transition organized by the Galician Energy Institute (Inega) as part of the Enerxética 2022 fair in Silleda (Pontevedra). The Zeppelin collaboration will spend…
Energy Observer is taking a major step forward by starting the design of the maritime transport industry’s most emblematic ship: a multipurpose cargo ship powered by liquid hydrogen, a zero-emission navigation technology that enables extremely high transport capacity and autonomy. Victorien Erussard, President and Founder of Energy Observer, will unveil the ship at the One Ocean Summit in Brest on February 10th. Maritime transport accounts for 3% of worldwide CO2 emissions per year. Energy Observer and its partners aim to demonstrate prototype solutions for zero-emission freight transport. The technology have matured significantly, with liquid hydrogen storage perfected, liquefiers deployed globally,…
GenH2, a leading producer of hydrogen infrastructure solutions, announced a collaboration with Monfort Technology to develop solutions for the mass transit and long-haul transportation industries. GenH2 will develop hydrogen generation, liquefaction, controlled storage, and dispensing solutions to bolster the nation’s bus and Class 1-8 truck fuelling infrastructure. Monfort, best known for developing the world’s first operational 80-passenger electric school bus, will manufacture EV hybrid vehicle conversation kits based on their unique BMS and drivetrain technology. “The combination of reliable hydrogen infrastructure and Class 1-8 trucks powered by BEV and hydrogen fuel cells will serve as a total solution for transit…
GenCell Energy will officially introduce its GenCell FOX off-grid power solution for mobile carriers, which uses ammonia to create electricity on-demand. The GenCell FOX generates primary power that is stable, robust, and zero-emission, allowing it to be used in place of fossil fuel generators. Additionally, the technology can be used in conjunction with solar photovoltaic and wind energy systems at telecom sites worldwide. The FOX can be installed at a telecom base station in nearly any region where grid services are insufficient or non-existent to keep the tower operational for up to half a year without the requirement for servicing…
By 2035, Airbus hopes to have a hydrogen-powered passenger airplane on the market, paving the road to carbon-free flight.
The world’s first electric airplane engine, driven by high-temperature superconductors, is part of the installation (HTSC). The aircraft’s two turbojet engines are supplemented with a 500-kilowatt electric motor that drives the propeller.
Lotte Chemical joined the hydrogen market last year, signing memorandums of understanding with global energy giants Air Liquid and SK Gas. It will work with Air Liquide to establish a hydrogen charging station business in Chungcheong
Fortescue has bought a share in Spark and will collaborate with the University of Adelaide to speed up the development and commercialization of the new technology
Both Air Products and the HPA are committed to accelerating hydrogen production, supply chain, and consumption in Germany’s north and the Free Hanseatic State of Hamburg.
