NTPC has awarded a contract for a “Standalone Fuel Cell based Micro-grid with hydrogen production via electrolyser in NTPC Guest House at Simhadri (near Visakhapatnam)”. It is India’s first green energy storage project based on hydrogen. It would serve as a forerunner to large-scale hydrogen energy storage projects and would aid in the study and deployment of several microgrids in various off-grid and important sites throughout the country. Beijing’s public transportation system will receive 100 Yutong hydrogen buses. On December 20, 2021, 30 fuel cell bus units will be delivered. On the same day, in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, where Yutong is headquartered, the “Batch Delivery and Strategic Cooperation Signing Ceremony for Yutong Group State Power Investment Corporation Fuel Cell Products” was conducted. The Environmental Commission of the Balearic Islands (CMAIB) has approved the environmental impact statement (EIS) for the project of the future hydrogen generation plant being built on the grounds of the Lloseta cement plant. The advisory body of the Govern in environmental matters considers valid the preventive and corrective measures presented by the promoter, Enagas Renovables, but adds as conditions that it provides an outlet for the reuse of the resulting water and oxygen.
