Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has signed an order of 130 MW to supply 26 SG 5.0-145 wind turbines to Berkshire Hathaway Energy Canada for the Rattlesnake Ridge wind power project, one of the country’s first subsidy free wind farms. Equinor and SSE have reached a financial close in the first two phases of the Dogger Bank wind farm Project, which represents the biggest offshore wind project financing in the world to date. Total senior debt facility over the two phases is £4.8 billion plus ancillary facilities of about £0.7 billion. EDP Renováveis has secured a 74 MW Solar PV project with a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) through its subsidiary EDP Renewables North America. The project is located in the U.S. state of North Carolina in detail and is scheduled to begin operations in 2022. Wärtsilä has received more orders from Pakistani cement producer, Lucky Cement, to deliver engine generating sets. Lucky Cement’s Pezu power plant in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province already operates with ten Wärtsilä dual-fuel engines supplying the electricity needed to run the production. The German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) has awarded the successful bids from the joint tender for solar and wind energy systems on land. 91 bids with a volume of 518,094 kW were submitted on time for the joint tender for solar and wind energy systems on land. Damen Shipyards Group has delivered a Fast Crew Supplier 1204 to Total Offshore. The crew transfer vessel is the first in the fleet of the company.
