The order includes the supply and installation of 52 V136-4.2 MW wind turbines for the Ryan Corner wind farm, as well as the engineering, procurement and construction of 26 V136-4.2 MW wind turbines for the second phase of the Berrybank wind farm. Upon completion, Vestas will enter into a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM5000) service agreement for both projects. Germany’s largest solar park in Werneuchen (Brandenburg) fed the first kilowatt hour of electricity into the grid. Bankhaus Metzler placed the issue as sole bookrunner with selected institutional investors and achieved a 2.3-fold oversubscription. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has signed an order of 130 MW to supply 26 SG 5.0-145 wind turbines to Berkshire Hathaway Energy Canada for the Rattlesnake Ridge wind power project, one of the country’s first subsidy free wind farms. Equinor and SSE have reached a financial close in the first two phases of the Dogger Bank wind farm Project, which represents the biggest offshore wind project financing in the world to date. Total senior debt facility over the two phases is £4.8 billion plus ancillary facilities of about £0.7 billion. EDP Renováveis has secured a 74 MW Solar PV project with a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) through its subsidiary EDP Renewables North America. The project is located in the U.S. state of North Carolina in detail and is scheduled to begin operations in 2022. Wärtsilä has received more orders from Pakistani cement producer, Lucky Cement, to deliver engine generating sets. Lucky Cement’s Pezu power plant in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province already operates with ten Wärtsilä dual-fuel engines supplying the electricity needed to run the production. With new cement lines installed, an additional three Wärtsilä 34DF dual-fuel engines, each with an output of 10 MW, have been ordered to provide the additional power required for the power plant without grid connection.
