Saitec Offshore Technologies and the open sea test site Biscay Marine Energy Platform (BiMEP) have signed a contract to install DemoSATH project off the Basque Coast. The project will use SATH Technology to test the very first floating wind foundation connected to the Spanish grid. Operations are planned for late 2021. When linked to the grid DemoSATH is projected to supply nearly 2.000 homes with electricity. Blue Water Port Services is working on two projects for Siemens Renewable Energy. The first project is Coastal Virginia offshore wind, where two 6 MW wind turbines will be installed 27 miles off Virginia Beach, USA. The second project is Borssele Wind Farm 1 and 2, where 94 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW wind turbines will be installed 14 miles off the coast of the Dutch province Zeeland. BayWa r.e. has completed the Kuwabarajo Mega Solar No.4, its first solar park in Japan. The 11.9MW project covers 24 hectares and is located Izumi in the Kyushu Kagoshima Prefecture. Eneco and SwifterwinT have entered into a 15-year contract for the purchase of the power supplied by SwifterwinT’s 37 onshore wind turbines. As of 2023, these turbines will produce 780 GWh of green power per year, which is equal to the total electricity usage of about 275.000 households. This is enough to give the entire city of Almere green power each year. The goal of Eneco is to use the electricity locally, wherever possible. Clearway Energy Group has completed the construction and brought online Mesquite Star, a 419 MW wind farm in Fisher County, Texas. Mesquite Star is contracted with many corporate and institutional clients, including Ecolab, Lowe’s, Intuit, and Brown University, in an aggregation of long term power agreements. GE Renewable Energy has been selected by Naturgy to provide a 5-year full-service agreement (FSA) for the La Rabia wind farm in Spain. The wind farm includes 13 Eco-80 turbines. In addition to 50 units of the same technology at Naturgy’s Pehimo wind farm, already under contract, GE will be performing full preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on these 13 units. Nexans has secured a major contract by SSE Renewables to design, manufacture and install the high voltage (HV) onshore and offshore export cables for the phase 1 development of the Seagreen offshore wind farm project.  Construction will start next year on the 1,075 megawatt (MW) project, which is located 27 kilometers off Angus coast. The cross-border SELKIE project aimed at boosting the marine energy industry in Wales and Ireland has revealed that Ocean Energy is the wave energy company following a tender for a pilot demonstration project. Ocean Energy has followed a careful technology development route, resulting in a robust and practical design device with one part moving out of the sea-water. GE Renewables has signed its first contract with Power China Guizhou Engineering to supply 12 units of 2.5-132 low-wind speed turbines for a 30MW wind farm near Puyang city, China. The order includes a two-year service agreement. This is the first onshore wind contract in China with PowerChina, a long-term global EPC partner of GE.
