Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s jack-up vessel Blue Tern has installed the final turbine at Trianel Windpark Borkum II (TWB II) offshore wind farm. Fred Olsen Windcarrier had been contracted back in February to install 11 Senvion 6.2M152 turbines on TWB II, out of a total of 32. Global Wind Service, a related company, was already on the project providing technicians, QA and site management for the installation and mechanical completion of all 32 turbines. The Nordex Group will be the supplier for Vattenfall’s largest onshore wind farm in the UK. The 240 MW South Kyle wind farm in Scotland will consist of 50 N133/4.8 strong-wind turbines, and the group will maintain the machines under a 10-year premium service contract. GE Renewable Energy has been selected by Fina Enerji to supply 52 of its 3 MW platform onshore wind turbines for four wind farms in Turkey: Baglama, Tayakadin, Yalova and Pazarkoy. The wind farms with a total capacity of 193 MW would generate enough clean energy to power the equivalent of 195.000 homes, save around 650.000 tons of CO2 and help Turkey’s renewable energy goal. Claritas Poland has received a new interim financing for 25 photovoltaic systems in Poland. The construction has already started and should be completed by Q1 2020. The consulting firm Capcora is acting as financial advisor with the structuring of the transaction and debt sourcing. The first foundation for Vattenfall’s offshore wind farm Kriegers Flak, offshore Denmark, has been placed on the bottom of the Baltic Sea.
