Avina Clean Hydrogen has chosen KBR’s K-GreeN technology for its green ammonia project in the United States.

According to the agreements, KBR will supply the process technology licence and technical plans for a community initiative that aims to produce 2,200 metric tonnes of green ammonia every day.

Ammonia is widely accepted to play a key role in decarbonizing maritime transportation and power generation as a hydrogen carrier. From electrolysis through ammonia synthesis, the KBR design for Avina includes a fully integrated green ammonia solution.
