CIMC Enric’s Hydrogen Energy High-pressure Gas Hydrogen Division, also known as Shijiazhuang Enric Gas Equipment Company Limited, has introduced China’s inaugural 30 MPa carbon fiber winding tube bundle hydrogen container.

This innovative achievement not only signals a significant advancement in hydrogen storage and transportation technology but also holds the promise of revolutionizing the entire hydrogen energy ecosystem.

The successful development of the 30 MPa hydrogen tube bundle container marks a major milestone in the pursuit of efficient hydrogen storage and transportation. This high-pressure container offers several key advantages, notably its ability to enhance the carrying capacity of high-pressure hydrogen vehicles. In fact, it effectively doubles the economic transport radius compared to its 20 MPa counterparts, thereby substantially reducing overall transportation costs.

Beyond its enhanced capacity, what sets this container apart is its versatile design. It caters to the diverse needs of hydrogen refueling stations, allowing for filling and unloading with multiple pressure levels. This versatility significantly contributes to expanding hydrogen energy applications both within China and on the global stage. Furthermore, this product stands as the first in China to incorporate an intelligent cut-off system. This system continually monitors hydrogen temperature and pressure within the cylinder in real-time, elevating safety standards to unprecedented levels.

Hydrogen storage and transportation are undeniably pivotal in advancing the hydrogen industry. Presently, high-pressure gas transport serves as the primary mode for ferrying hydrogen. However, as the industry seeks to drive down costs across the hydrogen energy value chain, the focus on improving storage and transportation efficiencies has intensified.

Executive Director and President of CIMC Enric, Yang Xiaohu, underscored the significance of this achievement. He highlighted how it would propel the commercialization of the entire hydrogen energy ecosystem, particularly the development of end-use applications. As a leader in the hydrogen storage and transportation arena, CIMC Enric remains steadfast in its commitment to pioneering technological breakthroughs in various hydrogen pathways, including high-pressure hydrogen gas and liquid hydrogen. With unwavering dedication, the company is poised to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in the realm of hydrogen energy storage and transportation equipment.

In the backdrop of China’s quest for hydrogen dominance and the global transition towards cleaner energy sources, CIMC Enric’s accomplishment represents a watershed moment. The 30 MPa hydrogen tube bundle container stands as a testament to human ingenuity and relentless pursuit of sustainable solutions. Its profound impact on hydrogen storage and transportation can catalyze a broader adoption of this clean energy carrier, potentially reshaping the future of transportation and energy consumption.
