Air Liquide and CNOOC have completed the world’s longest shipment of liquid hydrogen, marking a significant milestone in clean energy transportation.
The shipment involved moving insulated tanks filled with liquid hydrogen from Rotterdam, Europe, all the way to the port of Yantian in China, covering an impressive distance of more than 20,000 kilometers.
The liquid hydrogen was meticulously transported using insulated tanks, ensuring the cargo remained at the necessary low temperatures throughout the journey. Once the shipment arrived at the port of Yantian, the tanks were carefully unloaded onto container trucks for further distribution.
This achievement by CNOOC International highlights a key development in the realm of clean energy, demonstrating the potential for long-distance transportation of hydrogen as a sustainable energy source. The ability to move liquid hydrogen across such vast distances efficiently opens up new possibilities for the global energy market.
In the ever-evolving clean hydrogen industry, having reliable and comprehensive information is imperative for executives and leaders. Keeping abreast of industry trends and breakthroughs allows stakeholders to navigate the complexities of the hydrogen market and make informed business decisions. These insights are crucial for advancing the adoption of clean hydrogen solutions worldwide.
