First Hydrogen joins forces with Wales & West Utilities (WWU), Protium Green Solutions (Protium), and Hyppo Hydrogen Solutions (Hyppo) for the development of a functional ecosystem for hydrogen-powered-fuel-cell vehicles (FCEVs).

At the heart of this initiative lies a shared vision to revolutionize the way we power our vehicles and reduce our carbon footprint. By leveraging a redeployable refueller and delivered green hydrogen, the partners aim to provide the flexibility and speed necessary to accelerate the adoption of FCEVs. The trial not only evaluates the suitability of FCEVs for WWU’s operational needs but also serves as a blueprint for future deployments in other regions. Ultimately, the goal is to pave the way for the seamless transition from trials to full-scale adoption of hydrogen-powered vehicles.

Central to this endeavor is the utilization of cutting-edge hydrogen production and refueling infrastructure. Hydrogen produced at Protium’s Pioneer 1 facility, coupled with Hyppo’s Fuel Cell Systems HyQube redeployable refueller, ensures rapid deployment and accessibility, overcoming traditional barriers to entry. This innovative approach not only demonstrates the viability of hydrogen technology but also showcases its potential to revolutionize transportation systems worldwide.
