Green Hydrogen Systems has reached a momentous milestone by shipping its first X-Series prototype electrolyser to GreenLab in Skive, Denmark, for on-site installation and testing.
The company is eagerly anticipating the results of planned testing during Q2 and Q3 of 2023, which will lead to successful product validation. If all goes well, Green Hydrogen Systems expects to begin sales of their commercial X-Series 6MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser product in Q4 of 2023.
According to Sebastian Koks Andreassen, the CEO of Green Hydrogen Systems, the on-site installation and testing of the X-Series prototype at GreenLab represent crucial steps towards transitioning the product from a prototype to a commercial product. The company’s efforts have been intensive, involving multiple stages from production design to product development and final assembly, culminating in the shipment of the X-Series prototype from the assembly facilities in Kolding, Denmark.
The X-Series prototype is a 6MW pressurised alkaline electrolyser, which leverages Green Hydrogen Systems’ A90 A-Series core stack technology. It will be installed and tested on-site at GreenLab as a key component of the GreenHyScale project, which aims to achieve a 100MW electrolyser capacity. The project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme.
