Haulotte and Bouygues Energies & Services have announced a partnership to focus on using hydrogen energy to power its lifting equipment.
Bouygues, an engineering and services company, will test a Haulotte MEWP equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell system in real-world conditions on several of its construction sites over the course of a year as part of the partnership.
Bouygues will also research the hydrogen supply ecosystem for the MEWP’s entire construction sites. Bouygues Energies & Services, a subsidiary of Bouygues Construction, is a major player in the energy and digital transition in a variety of industries and structures.
Haulotte is also looking into options for completely decarbonizing its future aerial platform equipment.
