Metacon and Siemens have partnered to expedite the development of hydrogen production systems in Sweden.

Metacon has secured exclusive rights to produce full electrolysis plants using PERIC’s pressurized alkaline electrolysis modules. PERIC’s technology, especially its 5 MW and 10 MW modules, has a longstanding track record of reliability and effectiveness, with over a decade of successful operation and continuous improvements spanning more than 60 years. This access allows Metacon to employ well-established technology tailored for the European market, addressing both safety and automation standards essential for hydrogen production.

Siemens will serve as a crucial technology partner, bringing its extensive capabilities in automation, power distribution, electrification, and digital services. Siemens’ involvement is expected to enhance and streamline both the production and operational stages of hydrogen plants.
