Enagás, the leading energy infrastructure company, has reported an overwhelming response, with more than 600 projects expressing interest in utilizing the upcoming hydrogen network in the country. The ‘call for interest’ process, initiated by Enagás, attracted participation from over 200 companies, unveiling a diverse range of projects aiming to supply hydrogen domestically and export to international markets.

In a recent report, the International Energy Agency (IEA) sheds light on the growing prominence of hydrogen in the global energy matrix. Global hydrogen consumption soared to 95 million tonnes in 2022, marking a 3% annual increase. However, despite this surge, the share of green hydrogen, the low-emission variant, remains a modest 0.6% of the total supply.

H2SITE, a Spanish hydrogen transport solutions provider, has made a significant breakthrough in maritime decarbonization by successfully commissioning the world’s first on-board ammonia cracking system. This system generates high-purity hydrogen coupled with a PEM fuel cell, providing clean energy for the ship’s auxiliary consumptions.

Hitachi Energy, in collaboration with PowerCell Group, introduces the HyFlex™ Hydrogen Power Generator in Gothenburg, Sweden. This innovative solution is designed for locations where conventional power sources are impractical, offering an emission-free alternative with a range of applications.
