The 14th Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM14) Meeting witnessed a groundbreaking joint declaration, uniting governments of 14 countries and the European Union under the CEM’s banner. Their collective goal is to fast-track international hydrogen trade and address barriers in the burgeoning hydrogen market.

A project known as the Central Hydrogen Valley (CHV) is set to revolutionize the energy landscape in Poland. With a vision to develop a massive 250MW capacity of hydrogen electrolysers and harness 2GW of wind and solar power by 2030, the CHV aims to produce an estimated 54,000kg of green hydrogen and a staggering 4TWh of carbon-free energy annually.

Recent incidents involving hydrogen cylinders have raised safety concerns in the hydrogen fuel industry. The explosions on a fuel-cell bus in California and the leaking cylinders in the Netherlands have sparked investigations into the Type 4 compressed hydrogen cylinders supplied by Norwegian company Hexagon Purus. As the green hydrogen sector continues to grow, ensuring the safety and reliability of storage and transportation technologies becomes paramount.
