In order to advance the development of hydrogen energy, the Russian government, Rosatom, and Gazprom inked a collaboration agreement.
According to the terms of the agreement, Rosatom will put into action a program by 2030 to develop technologies for producing and processing hydrogen, organize serial production of electrolysis installations with various capacities, and carry out preparations for the construction of a nuclear power plant with high-temperature gas-cooled reactors.
“Russia has a wealth of expertise in carrying out initiatives for the advancement of hydrogen energy and the development of portable, potent, contemporary energy storage systems. In addition to its current usage in oil refining, hydrogen will also have uses in energy and transportation in the future “Alexander Novak, deputy prime minister.
