H2 Industries and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) have signed a memorandum of understanding.
President of SCZone Yehia Zaki and Michael Stusch, CEO of H2 Industries, signed a memorandum of understanding to build a waste-to-green-fuel plant in the East Port Said region with a production capacity of 300,000 tons of green hydrogen per year.
This is one of the sectors targeted by the authority as part of the Egyptian government’s strategy to transition to a green economy, as well as Egypt’s hosting of the COP27 Climate Change Summit in November.
Stusch, for one, stated that the establishment of this station, which is the first of its kind in Egypt, marks the start of the company’s expansion into the Middle East and North Africa.
