Sunrise Single-Glass Bifacial solar modules

In May 2020, SUNRISE launched the Single-Glass Bifacial solar modules with transparent backsheet coated with grid glaze that combines anti-LID technology, half-cut module technology and grid glaze technology.

Compared to traditional solar modules, Bifacial solar modules can increase power generation capacity under a certain environment by about 5 – 25 percent, which reduces the LCOE.

SUNRISE selected 3.2 mm low-iron ultra-white tempered AR glass through product testing during the R&D period to ensure the ability to bear the same snow and wind load capacity as classic solar modules while improving light transmission.

To realize the power increase on the front of the product, Bifacial solar modules are adopted with a transparent grid-glazed backsheet. Coated and laid with a high-reflective, high-weather-resistant grid-shaped white or black reflective layer on the inner surface of the transparent backsheet to realize the reflection and secondary use of the cell gap light, thereby achieving the positive increase in power.

Compared to the double glass solar panel, the single glass with transparent backsheet has a lower weight (more than 30 percent) that could save buyers about 15 percent bracket costs and 20 percent assembly labor costs, and also save more than 3 per cent maintenance costs.
