Europe is at risk of losing its lead in hydrogen technology. China and the USA are advancing faster, warns a study by Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Europe still benefits from earlier advantages in materials, efficiency, and longevity of plants. However, this lead is diminishing.
According to Vladimir Rogov, Managing Director and Partner of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Azerbaijan could provide hydrogen to Europe at a reasonable price.
The Boston Consulting Group estimates that $13 trillion in private sector investment is required in hydrogen and carbon capture, storage, and utilisation technologies in order to achieve carbon neutrality by the year 2050. (CCUS).
