According to Suhail Al Mazrouei, the UAE’s minister of infrastructure and energy, the country will revamp its energy policy in 2023.
The minister stated that he anticipated that hydrogen would be a component of the new strategy’s energy ambitions by 2050, which will be unveiled later this year.
By utilizing its special geographic location as a gateway between the East and the West, the UAE hopes to represent 25% of the key hydrogen markets worldwide, including India, South Korea, Japan, and Germany.
The National Energy Strategy 2050 and the Climate Neutrality Strategy 2050 will both depend heavily on hydrogen.
