Vestas has received a 56 MW order for the Banie lV project from Energix, the wind farm’s majority owner and wind project developer in Poland.

The contract covers the supply, construction, and commissioning of 16 V126-3.45 MW wind turbines with a 3.5 MW operating mode, as well as a 20-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM5000) service arrangement.

The project, located in Banie, Western Pomerania, Poland, adds to Vestas’ existing installation of approximately 2.5 GW of onshore wind turbines in Poland. Vestas has already secured a further 1.2 GW of installation orders. This project highlights Vestas’ leadership role in Poland’s clean energy market and emerging wind industry.

“Based on our previous experience with Vestas, we highly value the product quality and reliability of Vestas’ V126 turbine variant and Vestas’ track record for on-time installations. We are pleased to further strengthen our relationship with Vestas as part of the and potentially for other projects of the Energix Group, in Poland and in other places”.

Asa Levinger, CEO of Energix.

“Vestas has been present in Poland since 2002. We are here to stay to support our customers and contribute to the clean energy transition in one of Europe`s largest onshore wind markets. I am particularly pleased to take this next step with our valued partner Energix.”

Nils de Baar, president of Vestas Northern and Central Europe.

The project will feature a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, lowering turbine downtime and thus optimising the energy output.

Delivery of the turbines and commissioning are both expected to begin in the first quarter of 2022.
