In a five-year arrangement, Australian HDrive will produce, distribute, sell, and buy up to 12,000 hydrogen fuel cell automobiles from Wisdom Motors and Pure Hydrogen.
According to the agreement, Wisdom Motor Company will collaborate with its largest stakeholder Ballard to initially construct the cars at its facilities in Zhangzhou, China.
Australian-designed and -engineered vehicles will be purchased by HDrive from Pure Hydrogen and leased to clients. Additionally, Pure Hydrogen will be able to offer hydrogen fuel and related infrastructure, giving operators a full turnkey solution.
With fleet owners looking to replace retired cars with zero-emissions alternatives, HFCVs are seeing remarkable demand growth. Hydrogen technologies, and specifically hydrogen vehicles, have significant industry and bipartisan government endorsement.
