Vestas has secured an 80 MW order for the wind farm Kroningswind majority owned by TINC. Wind farm Kroningswind is located on Goeree-Overflakkee in the South-West of the Netherlands. Vestas has developed a solution that comprises supply, installation and commissioning 19 V117-4.2 MW turbines and a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. Nestlé Waters North America is collaborating with EnterSolar to construct a 10-megawatt AC (12.97-megawatt DC) renewable energy project at its Poland Spring bottling plant in Hollis, Maine. This proposed solar energy installation, currently in the permit application process, will supply enough clean electricity to meet approximately 20-25% of the current energy needs of the facility. Once completed, the proposed solar project would occupy 47 acres of land, making it one of the largest contiguous solar arrays in Maine. Standard Solar is bringing more than 8,000 MWh of annual energy supply to Maryland community solar subscribers, in partnership with Ogos Energy, Earth and Air Technologies and Neighborhood Sun. Vattenfall and the European clean energy investor Glennmont Partners have signed a long-term agreement to provide balancing services for Piiparinmäki, a new 211 MW onshore wind farm in Finland. The onshore wind farm Piiparinmäki, acquired by Glennmont Partners in September last year, is located in central Finland near Kajaani and will have 41 turbines. Limejump has been awarded the contract to trade the power output of the first subsidy-free Scottish wind farm using wind turbines at Crossdykes Wind Farm in Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland. The 46MW onshore wind farm, developed and owned by Muirhall Energy and WWS Development, is one of the first subsidy-free wind farms in the UK. Notably, Crossdykes is the first subsidy-free wind farm to enter the Grid Balancing Mechanism, and is the largest wind site to enter Limejump’s generation portfolio. ABO Wind Oy and Gasum Oy have entered into a long-term agreement on wind farm output. Under the ten-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), Gasum will begin to sell renewable wind power produced in North Ostrobothnia to its customers starting in 2023. The agreement will enable the partners Gasum and ABO Wind to increase the availability of renewable Finnish energy and at the same time more wind power will be built in Finland. First Solar has supplied its advanced Series 6 photovoltaic (PV) solar modules to JP Energie Environnement (JPee) to power its 59-megawatt (MW)DC Labarde solar power plant. The facility, believed to be the largest urban solar PV power plant in Europe, is being built on the site of a former open-air municipal landfill in Bordeaux in South West France. The land was designated as a wasteland, unfit for residential or commercial buildings, or agricultural use.
