Liebherr and MCCtec Rostock have signed a contract with Aibel for the delivery of a cylinder-luffing crane, type RL 2600-35 Lit for DolWin epsilon platform. The company TenneT TSO commissioned Aibel to build the offshore platform DolWin epsilon on which the Liebherr crane will be used for supply and maintenance tasks on the German North Sea. The RL 2600-35 Lit is a weight-optimized and compact designed offshore crane. It is the ideal equipment for small platforms, where space is limited. OYA Solar has closed a $35 million construction and interconnection financing from NY Green Bank, that will support the construction of three community solar projects in New York state. The first, a 6.8 MWDC project in Constable, New York, is already under construction. OYA expects the three projects to be placed in service early next year and they will be the first in a 100 MWDC portfolio that OYA intends to construct through the end of 2021. Worley has secured a contract to provide the early front-end engineering and design (pre-FEED) for the first two carbon capture units at Drax Group’s power station in North Yorkshire, UK. Each unit is expected to capture approximately 4 million tonnes of carbon dioxide a year. The carbon capture units will incorporate the negative emissions process scheme, Bioenergy with Carbon Capture and Storage (BECCS). Drax has piloted BECCS which generates renewable electricity while permanently removing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. CHANEL has committed $35 million toward solar energy projects for low-income multifamily households with Sunrun. The partnership will expand access to solar for nearly 30,000 low-income residents across California, offering families on average up to $40 to $50 a month in energy cost savings. LONGi has supplied 11.7MW of innovative solar modules to a PV plant within the Parque Fotovoltaico Libertadores in Los Andes Province, Chile, which is now supplying electricity to the local grid. LONGi was selected as the sole module supplier for the project. The plant, covering 24.4 hectares, was developed by D ‘E Capital and constructed by EPC company Orion Power, with an investment of $12 million. Anthem has signed a 15-year power purchase agreement with SunEnergy1 for the output from a new 182-acre 20-megawatt solar field located in Hanover County, Virginia.
