Enel Green Power España has connected a new 3.46 MW wind farm in the town of Mallén and Fréscano, in the province of Zaragoza, to the electricity grid. The Dehesa de Mallén wind farm has one wind turbine with a capacity of 3.46 MW and will generate around 11.2 GWh per year, which is production equivalent to the amount consumed by 2.841 homes. Its commissioning will avoid approximately 7.400 tonnes of CO2 being emitted into the atmosphere annually. Investment in this project amounts to €4.6 million. Jan De Nul Group has completed the installation of four medium-voltage export cables connecting the Changhua County offshore wind farm to the shore, as well as the upgrade of the onshore substation. This substation upgrade was essential for the connection of the first state-owned wind farm ‘Taiwan Power Company Offshore Windfarm Phase 1 Project – Demonstration’ to the Taiwanese power grid. Banpu has acquired El Wind Mui Dinh operating wind farm located in Vietnam. The purchase consideration payable is approximately $66 million, subject to certain adjustments outlined in the Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA). The transaction remains subject to customary approvals and conditions precedents in accordance with the SPA with completion expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2020. Enel Green Power Guatemala (EGPG) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Comercializadora de Energía para el Desarrollo (CED) for the supply of 1.26 TWh of sustainable energy over the next 10 years, the largest agreement of its kind in Guatemala. OHT Alfa Lift has signed a contract for the transport and installation of foundations for the first phase of Dogger Bank wind farm, Dogger Bank A, following the award of a Preferred Supplier Agreement in November 2019. Fugro has completed a positioning support contract for Bourbon Subsea Services to help install the three units of the WindFloat Atlantic semi-submersible floating wind farm.
