The first fuel cell ferry in India will be constructed by Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL). The Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI) and Cochin Shipyard Limited recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to construct this hydrogen vessel, which would be operated in Varanasi after undergoing many tests in Kochi.
