XSD International Paper (XSD) has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NEFIN Group. The project will see NEFIN building a solar PV system that consists of approximately 21,000 solar PV panels that will collectively generate over 13.5 million kWh clean energy and off-setting approximately 9369 tons carbon emissions annually. The green hydrogen industry has been boosted with a new alliance between Iberdrola and Fertiberia, which seeks to turn Spain into an industrial leader of a technology that will be fundamental to delivering climate neutrality. The floating wind turbine Nezzy², being tested jointly by the north German company aerondyn engineering and EnBW, has passed its two-month test in the Bay of Greifswald. The 18-metre-tall prototype built on a 1:10 scale consists of two wind turbines on a floating platform. Cypress Creek Renewables has completed a tax equity buyout and refinancing of project-level debt for 92 megawatts (MW) of its solar energy portfolio across North Carolina, making Cypress Creek the sole owner of these projects. Alliant Energy has introduced the Clean Energy Blueprint for Iowa, a path for accelerating their transition to cleaner energy for customers. Minesto is making progress at the Vestmannasund tidal energy site in Faroe Islands, with the commissioning of the DG100 kite system.
