Enel Green Power has started construction of the Castelmauro wind farm in Molise. The plant will be built between the municipalities of Castelmauro and Roccavivara, in the province of Campobasso, and will consist of seven wind turbines of 4.2 MW each, for a total capacity of 29.4 MW. The wind farm is expected enter service by the end of 2021. Encavis has injected the first kilowatt hours (kwh) into the Spanish high voltage grid from Talayuela, the largest solar park within the portfolio of the Group. GE Renewable Energy has secured a 1050 MW order for Pattern Energy’s Western Spirit Wind farms in New Mexico. The 377-turbine order will power the equivalent of more than 590,000 homes. The agreement also includes a 10-year full-service agreement (FSA). Western Spirit Wind will utilize turbines ranging from 2.3-2.8 in nameplate rating and will utilize various tower heights to optimize the wind capture for the project. Vestas has secured a 46 MW order for a wind park in Spain. The order includes the supply and installation of eleven V136-4.2 MW wind turbines. Vestas has received a new order from one of its existing customers, MSPL Limited, for its 17 MW Hospet project in Karnataka, India. Florida Power & Light Company (FPL) informed that five new solar energy centers have started powering customers with clean energy. These new sites, each of which is about 500 acres, add another 1.4 million solar panels to the state and support FPL SolarTogether – the company’s popular community solar program, which launched earlier this year as the largest of its kind in the United States. Vestas has received a 504 MW order for an undisclosed project in Colombia. The contract includes the supply and installation of 90 V162-5.6 MW EnVentus wind turbines, as well as a 15-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement. Adani Renewable Energy Holding Eight Limited (AREHEightL), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has received the Letter of Award (LOA) to set-up 600 MW Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project. AREHEightL participated in a tender issued by the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) for setting up 1,200 MW ISTS-connected Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project.
