Vestas has signed a new agreement with Casa dos Ventos for the 360 MW Babilônia project, located in the cities of Morro do Chapéu and Várzea Nova, in Bahia. Rem Offshore has signed a long-term charter contract with Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy for the newbuild CSV Rem Energy. The vessel will be performing maintenance on various wind farms in Germany. AqualisBraemar has completed the acquisition of 100 percent shares in LOC Group. AqualisBraemar has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Neptune Midco 1 from the ultimate parent company of the LOC Group, LOC Group Holdings, the shareholders of which include pan-European investment group Bridgepoint and key employees of LOC. The purchase price consideration was a $20.2 million cash consideration plus two million conditional warrants in AqualisBraemar. Vestas has received an order from Eneco Verda, a subsidiary of Eneco, for the 34 MW wind project Landtong Rozenburg. Located on a peninsula in the port of Rotterdam, the project features nine V126-3.45 MW turbines in 3.8 MW Power Optimized Mode with 130 meter towers. European Energy has signed an agreement for the sale of solar park Naessundvej with a total capacity of approximately 30 MW in Denmark to Conquest Group. A corporate power purchase agreement (CPPA) has been made with a leading technology company for the project. Vestas has secured a 34 MW order from Rabbalshede Kraft for the wind project Årjäng NV2 that will be located in the Värmland County in west-central Sweden. The project will comprise eight V150-4.2 MW turbines with 155 meter towers together with a 25-year Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service contract, optimizing the energy production for the lifetime of the project. Ormat Technologies has completed the acquisition of a shovel-ready energy storage asset in Upton County, Texas. Ormat acquired the asset from Con Edison Development. Ormat’s wholly owned subsidiary, Viridity Energy Solutions, will design, build, own and operate a 25 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project at the site. The project is co-located with an operational 157 MW solar PV generating facility that is owned and operated by CED Upton County Solar. Con Edison and 174 Power Global have agreed to place the largest battery storage project in New York State on an industrial site in Astoria, Queens.
