The UK and Welsh Governments have approved the Pembroke Dock Marine project, which is expected to generate £73.5 million a year to the Swansea Bay City Region’s economy. The £60 million marine energy project will help tackle climate change while reviving Pembrokeshire’s economy in the wake of Covid-19. The company has been certified under the Technical Supervision Regulation of conformity (NTS) with Regulation EU 2016-631, specifically for its central inverters in the Ingecon Sun Power range and its EMS Plant Controller system. U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) plans to expand its research capabilities in harsh climates through a collaboration with Alaska’s Cold Climate Housing Research Center (CCHRC) and DOE’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Broad Reach Power plans to build 15 utility-scale battery storage plant sites in areas near Houston and Odessa by the end of 2020. Dutch Evides Waterbedrijf has completed and connected new floating solar park in Kralingen, in the vicinity of Rotterdam. According to the company, the solar park is able to generate around 9,500 kWh of renewable energy during a sunny day. The solar park will be officially opened at the beginning of July. The new 1,62MW solar park, partly located on land and partly floating on the reservoir, consists of total of 4,787 PV modules. Masdar has entered into an agreement with the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and JSC National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan to design, finance, build and operate a 500 megawatt utility-scale wind farm project.
