The EU plans to add hydrogen filling stations and electric vehicle charging stations to the trans-European transportation network (TEN-T). 26 projects from 12 Member States have now been chosen by the Commission for funding through the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Facility (AFIF).

As part of Project BRUNEL, which is partially supported by the Advanced Propulsion Centre, Ricardo has delivered a hydrogen-fueled research engine to global engine expert Cummins and automotive supplier BorgWarner (APC).

According to Kamran Huseynov, deputy director of Azerbaijan’s State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources, an interdepartmental working group on hydrogen has been formed to conduct research and develop recommendations for the production of hydrogen in the nation.
