Flagships, a European engineering group, will launch the world’s first commercial hydrogen cargo transport vessel on the Seine River in Paris. Commercial activities are scheduled to begin in 2021. Canadian Solar has commenced construction on four solar projects in Japan totaling 143 MWp. This portfolio includes Canadian Solar’s flagship mega-plant, the 100 MWp Azuma Kofuji project in Fukushima Prefecture, as well as 43 MWp projects in Ibaraki and Hiroshima Prefectures. The Azuma Kofuji project is Canadian Solar’s largest project in Japan to date, and it is projected to be one of the country’s largest. Caba Grup has placed an order with Nordex Group for 39 N133/4800 turbines from the Delta4000 series for the second phase of the Istanbul wind farm. The order also includes a Premium Service contract for the turbines covering a period of 15 years. Equinor and SSE Thermal plan to collaborate on the development of two first-of-their-kind, low-carbon power stations in the UK’s Humber area, including one of the UK’s first power stations with carbon capture and storage (CCS) technology and the world’s first 100 percent hydrogen-fueled power station. Loop Energy and BayoTech have inked a joint market development agreement for the deployment of hydrogen vehicles and hydrogen fueling infrastructure. The collaboration aims at reducing the complexity of adopting hydrogen electric solutions by providing fleet operators with clear and actionable strategic direction in respect to fuel cell powered vehicles and hydrogen fuel infrastructure.
