Wärtsilä, in collaboration with AGL, has signed a non-exclusive five-year Large Scale Storage System Frame Agreement for the procurement of energy storage projects. This arrangement would shorten the time frames for tenders for specific contracts, allowing quicker project schedules and commercial activity. Canadian Solar wholly-owned subsidiary, Recurrent Energy, has completed the sale of the Slate project to Goldman Sachs Renewable Power (GSRP). Revenue from the deal will be recognized in Q1 2021 and commercial sales are due at the end of 2021. The Slate project is a 300 MW solar plus 140.25 MW/561 MWh storage project located in Kings County, California, and construction has begun. The Nordex Group received an order for its Delta4000 series N163/5.X turbines of approximately 131 MW in Sweden, at the end of last year. The utility Jämtkraft and its partner Persson Invest have ordered 23 turbines from the Nordex Group for the Hocksjön wind farm. The order also contains the Premium turbine package for a term of 25 years. Installation and completion of the Hocksjön will take place in 2022. Statkraft Energias Renováveis has placed a large-scale order with the Nordex Group for a 518.7 MW project in Brazil. The Nordex Group will equip Statkraft’s largest wind farm project to date in South America, named “Ventos de Santa Eugenia”, with 91 N163/5.X turbines. Eolus has signed individual PPAs with a major global energy company for three wind power projects in Sweden that will be commissioned in the autumn of 2023 that total 68 MW. The wind farms have been sold to Commerz Real in an agreement that was made public in September 2020.
