Located northwest of Abilene in Rotan, the 250 MW wind farm has started selling power into the grid and will generate enough clean, renewable energy to meet the electricity needs of more than 74,800 homes annually. Enel has started operating a 199 MW expansion of the Cimarron Bend wind farm in Clark County, Kansas, making the overall 599 MW facility the largest renewable plant owned by the Enel Group currently in operation worldwide. At the same time, the parties agree on the contracting and construction services concerning the Murtomäki wind farm infrastructure, which YIT will provide for the buyer. In addition, the company has agreed to sell the wind farms to Greencoat Renewables while retaining responsibility for the construction and the long-term operation and management, in line with Statkraft’s strategy to build, sell, operate and trade power.
