ALLETE Clean Energy has started commercial operations at its Diamond Spring wind site in southern Oklahoma. The output from the 303‐megawatt Diamond Spring site is contracted to provide renewable energy to Walmart, Smithfield Foods and Starbucks though separate renewable energy sales agreements with 12‐15 year terms. Canadian Solar has sold the remaining 30 percent ownership of the Big Fish SPV (Big Fish) and Iron SPV (Iron) solar projects to Falck Renewables. Both projects are located in Sicily, Italy, with a total planned capacity of more than 290 MWp. The Canadian Solar plans to recognize sales revenues in the fourth quarter of 2020. Canadian Solar partnered with Falck Renewables back in 2019 to jointly build Big Fish and Iron ventures, selling 70 percent of the projects to Falck Renewables. Siemens Gamesa has signed a record order for the Siemens Gamesa 5.X platform in a 465 MW deal with Patria Investments, to supply the São Vitor wind farm in the northeast of the country. The wind farm will be equipped with 75 Siemens Gamesa 5.8-170 turbines with OptimaFlex technology, operating at 6.2 MW. The wind farm, in the state of Bahia, is forecasted to be in operation by the end of 2022. Voltalia has started operation of its Sarry wind farm in Burgundy Franche – Comté (France). The Sarry wind farm has produced its first kilowatt-hours. The power plant is made of 11 SG114 wind turbines, representing an installed capacity of 23.1 megawatts, supplied by Siemens Gamesa, which is currently testing them. BayWa r.e. has completed construction and achieved financial close for the Amadeus Wind project in Texas. Located northwest of Abilene in Rotan, the 250 MW wind farm has started selling power into the grid and will generate enough clean, renewable energy to meet the electricity needs of more than 74,800 homes annually. Amadeus is the largest onshore wind project completed to date in BayWa r.e.’s global portfolio. Enel has started operating a 199 MW expansion of the Cimarron Bend wind farm in Clark County, Kansas, making the overall 599 MW facility the largest renewable plant owned by the Enel Group currently in operation worldwide. The 236.5 MW White Cloud wind farm also began operations in Nodaway County, Missouri. The two wind farms bring Enel’s total renewable capacity added in 2020 across the US and Canada to 865 MW. Encavis has sold 49 percent of its wind farm portfolio in Austria to the largest regional Austrian utility, WIEN ENERGIE. YIT has sold the project rights for the Murtomäki wind farm to Ålandsbanken Wind Power Fund. At the same time, the parties agree on the contracting and construction services concerning the Murtomäki wind farm infrastructure, which YIT will provide for the buyer. The Murtomäki wind farm is located in the town of Pyhäjärvi in Northern Ostrobothnia, Finland. Dominion Energy has filed with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) the required Construction and Operations Plan (COP) to build the 2,640-megawatt Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind (CVOW) commercial project, the largest planned offshore wind farm in the United States. The COP includes information about the construction, operations and conceptual decommissioning plans for Dominion Energy’s proposed offshore wind farm to be installed within a 112,800-acre Commercial Lease Area located 27 miles off the coast of Virginia Beach, which Dominion Energy obtained in 2013.
