E.ON has joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance, aimed to support the achievement of climate targets by expanding the use of hydrogen (H2) as an energy carrier and to promote the development of a European hydrogen economy. The alliance, which currently comprises around 200 companies and other organizations, is committed to expanding and implementing hydrogen technologies by 2030. Kongsberg Maritime was contracted by Island Offshore, a leading Norwegian supplier of high-quality solutions for the offshore oil field, to provide turnkey hybrid battery solutions for three of the company’s UT 776 CD-design Platform Supply Vessels. Vestas has signed an 86 MW contract with Nexif Energy for the second stage of the Lincoln Gap Wind Farm in South Australia. The EPC agreement will include the engineering, procurement and construction of 24 of Vestas’ V136-3.45 MW turbines delivered in 3.6 MW Power Optimised Mode. This will add to the customer’s existing fleet of 126 MW of Senvion turbines which are being serviced by Vestas. Siemens Gamesa has received a firm order from Adani Green Energy for one of India’s biggest wind energy projects. The company will supply 215 SG 2.2-122 wind turbines for a total output of 473 MW. The deal with Adani will see Siemens Gamesa deliver to the project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan , India on its core strengths covering the production, supply, installation and pre-commissioning of the wind turbines. Canadian Solar started construction on one of the largest commercial and industrial rooftop solar projects in Malaysia, in collaboration with Antah Solar Sdn. Bhd. and Eleaps Sdn. Bhd. The 5 MWp project will span an area of over 26,000 m2, and is in Penang, Malaysia. Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy has signed 10-year service agreements with an undisclosed customer at two North American sites featuring a total of 184 MW of Senvion MM92-2.05 turbines. Both sites have service, maintenance and warranty agreements with guaranteed availability. Eesti Energia has signed an agreement (PPA) with the Lithuanian wind energy company E energija to buy all the renewable energy generated by the future wind farm in ten years time. This is the largest such transaction in the Baltics in history. The latest E energija Telšiai 68.9 MW wind farm, to be launched in 2022, will generate 235 GWh of renewable energy per year, which will cover nearly 80.000 the annual energy use of households.
