Drydocks World has held a steel-cutting ceremony to start production on a High Voltage Alternating Current (HVAC) transformer station topside, named Hollandse Kust Zuid (HKZ) Beta. This is the third topside to be installed for Petrofac and end-client TenneT by Drydocks World, and the second project for wind farm HKZ. The HVAC platform will be part of a renewable energy wind farm located in the North Sea sector of HKZ grid connection in the Netherlands. Vestas has secured its largest order in Vietnam to date for a total of 144 MW for the three wind parks Lien Lap, Phong Huy, and Phong Nguyen in the Quảng Trị Province. RWE Renewables Japan and Kyuden Mirai Energy have signed a cooperation agreement to jointly explore possibilities for developments in Japan’s offshore fixed-bottom wind projects.
