The facility will be designed, procured, and built by thyssenkrupp using their large-scale 20 megawatt (MW) alkaline water electrolysis module. After commissioning, the project partners NEOM, ACWA Power, and Air Products (“NEOM Green Hydrogen Company”) will run the plant, which will produce hydrogen that will be synthesized into carbon-free ammonia for export to worldwide markets solely by Air Products.
