Oman, a nation long associated with oil and gas, is embarking on an ambitious journey to become a global leader in green hydrogen production. With a massive investment of $33 billion earmarked for this sector, the Sultanate aims to produce at least 1 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen annually by 2030, rising to 8.5 million tonnes by 2050.

Iberdrola is making a bold move to become a global frontrunner in green hydrogen technology. With a portfolio of 60 green hydrogen projects spanning Spain, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, and the United States, the company is poised to invest a staggering €9 billion by 2030.

Construction has commenced on the groundbreaking Hydrogen Park (HyP) project in Gladstone, Australia. The initiative, backed by the Australian Gas Infrastructure Group (AGIG) with support from the Queensland government’s Hydrogen Industry Development Fund, is set to become the country’s first city-wide renewable hydrogen blending project.
