There has been much discussion over which of these approaches Europe should pursue, but a new study released today shows that both should be used if Europe is to meet its zero-emissions targets.
As part of an industry-first commitment to promote the use of hydrogen-based fuel cells for long-haul trucks and beyond, Volvo Group and Daimler Truck AG formally outlined their groundbreaking vision for the upcoming fuel-cell joint venture cell-centric.
From 2030, the target is to use at least 200,000 tonnes of synthetic fuel each year, which is roughly one-third of the existing fuel requirements of German air traffic.
PKN ORLEN has commenced the process to select a contractor for its hydrogen refuelling stations, with the first stations serving buses and passenger cars to be deployed in Poznań and Katowice. The Group is also set to start the construction of a hydrogen hub in Włocławek by the end of this year.
