SK E&S has joined forces with Busan City, the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, and the Korea Gas Safety Corporation.
The collaborative effort, formalized through a business agreement, aims to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the Busan region to localize essential equipment and systems within the liquefied hydrogen sector.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to enable SMEs in the Busan region to develop and demonstrate their proficiency in key liquefied hydrogen technologies. By providing support and knowledge transfer, the initiative seeks to empower local companies to actively contribute to the establishment of critical infrastructure, including liquefied hydrogen charging stations.
SK E&S, leveraging its experience in constructing the Incheon liquefied hydrogen plant, plans to share its acquired core technologies and know-how with Busan’s SMEs. This includes expertise in areas such as ‘liquefied hydrogen tanks.’ The focus is on enhancing the technological capabilities of local companies, enabling them to participate effectively in the burgeoning liquefied hydrogen industry.
