A unique conference between Korea and France was held to discuss the present state of the hydrogen industry in each nation and to encourage cooperative growth of the sector.

In cooperation with the French Embassy in Korea, the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association hosted the “Korea-France Hydrogen Mobility Meeting” on April 26 in the Pearl Room of the Ulsan Lotte City Hotel.

The purpose of the event was to discuss how the hydrogen industry may be improved while also sharing the present state of the sectors in France and Korea.

The conference included: Welcome speeches and visits between the two nations; an introduction to the current state of the hydrogen industry in Ulsan; an introduction to the direction of France’s hydrogen strategy; and one-on-one meetings between enterprises.

“Ulsan is a city with a very well-equipped hydrogen industry production and infrastructure, and it is also leading the globe in the field of hydrogen use,” said Jung Byung-Gyu, chairman of Ulsan Free Economic Zone Authority, in a speech of welcome. We look forward to working closely with the participants to help Ulsan and France develop to become global leaders in hydrogen technology and energy hubs.

Introducing the development trend of the French hydrogen industry and the construction of French hydrogen infrastructure, we look forward to a close partnership with Korea for hydrogen power generation in the future, said Bruno Jame, Energy Manager of Poon Vickle du Putou, who was in charge of the survey and introduction of the French hydrogen policy direction. to,” he urged.

The Ulsan Technopark Energy Technology Support Team’s Seung-hwan Cho then discussed the numerous hydrogen initiatives being undertaken in Ulsan, including the Nexo from Hyundai Motor, Hydrogen Town, and the Green Hydrogen Mobility Free Zone Zone.

In the meantime, the Korea Hydrogen Industry Association, established in 2014, has supported the development of the hydrogen industry and Korea’s early entry into the hydrogen economy by hosting MOUs, seminars, and forums with domestic and international organizations focused on the hydrogen industry.

Several activities, including the Ulsan International Hydrogen Energy Forum, will be organized in November in conjunction with embassies and international businesses in each nation in light of this occasion.
