Cubico Sustainable Investments (Cubico) has completed the acquisition of Bisaccia Wind and Torretta Wind, two operational onshore wind farms, from Blunova. The wind farms, which have a combined capacity of 16 MW, are located in Campania and Apulia. Immediately following the acquisition, Cubico completed the refinancing of the projects using the accordion facility of an existing green loan financing with Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank, Siemens Financial Services through Siemens Bank and Société Générale. Goldwind Australia and TransGrid have signed a commercial agreement for the connection and construction of connection assets for Coppabella wind farm located in the Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. The project is expected to employ approximately 150 staff during the construction phase, and up to 15 permanent ongoing maintenance employees once operational. LOC Singapore has received a contract from PowerChina HuaDong Engineering (PCH) to provide marine warranty survey (MWS) services for Phase I of Binh Dai offshore wind farm in Vietnam. LOC will provide MWS services of the proposed support fleet, along with other marine vessel inspection and marine assurance services. ABB has secured a contract with Sefine Shipyard to provide power and propulsion solution to FrøyGruppen’s hybrid live fish carrier, future-proofing the vessel for safe and sustainable operations. RWE has signed a letter of intent with OCI N.V.’s production facility BioMCN on the supply of green hydrogen in the future, from its Eemshydrogen project. RWE is developing Eemshydrogen, an innovative project for green hydrogen production at Eemshaven, to demonstrate the feasibility of an integrated hydrogen value chain with vast scaling potential. In addition, RWE intends to provide green hydrogen to Evonik. Both companies in Delfzijl plan to use the green hydrogen in their business processes for making sustainable products. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and the Small Island Developing States Sustainable Energy and Climate Resilience Organisation (SIDS DOCK), have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to reinforce joint actions that accelerate the deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions, to build energy security and support climate resilience in small island developing states (SIDS). Iberdrola has started installing wind turbines on the Herrera wind farm, with 63 MW capacity, in Castilla y León. The turbines have a unit power of 4.5 MW, which is seven times more than the first wind turbines installed in the country more than two decades ago.
