Future hydrogen-powered boats will be able to refuel thanks to ELEMANTA H2’s hydrogen bunkering capability.
Salt Motorcycles, an Australian firm with headquarters in Brisbane, currently provides only one model. The café racer-styled custom Salt Twostroke is based on a factory KTM 300 EXC TPI. This gadget will still cost customers $39,990 AUD or €26,100, but it is extremely special. Evidently, Salt Motorcycles is able to continue developing its 1,200cc V8 engine due to its reputation. In October 2021, the brand debuted its V8 powerplant for the first time. Engineers were experimenting with various bore and stroke sizes to optimize performance while keeping a 48 kg weight. Initially, Salt Motorcycles owner Brendan James intended to use…
Gasnam receives aid to model the logistics chain of hydrogen maritime transport, specifically an overall amount close to 160,000 euros to develop the HYDROMAR project, requested by the entity in the 2022 call for support to Innovative Business Groups (AEI’s) of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism. HYDROMAR’s objective is the industrial research of 4.0 knowledge models in the logistics chain of hydrogen maritime transport in its different formats, both in molecule (H2) and as part of other molecules (carriers). This research will be based on the analysis of the fundamental processes and parameters involved in the hydrogen logistics…
From June 21, the Demonstration Energy and Climate Innovation (DEI+) scheme is open with a new theme: Hydrogen and Green Chemistry. The scheme supports companies and knowledge institutions in carrying out innovative demonstration projects that lead to CO2 reduction in 2030. For this purpose, € 30 million is available. Projects can apply for support in the area of production of hydrogen, transport and storage of hydrogen and the application of hydrogen. The scheme is open until January 10, 2023 and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Minister Jetten for Climate and Energy: “This is an important step in the upscaling…
Deploying hydrogen-fueled vessels will be essential for Vestas’ sustainability journey because the carbon emissions related to offshore activities now make up one-third of the company’s scope 1&2 emissions.
On June 29, 2022, during the fourth administrative roundtable ‘Hydrogen and Green Chemistry’, the top players from the business community and the knowledge world reached further agreements on the scaling up of technology and the intensification of research and innovation. This took place under the chairmanship of the Ministry of Economic Affairs & Climate. It is extremely energizing to see that we are now united with so many parties, industry and the knowledge community, to make a real start on rapidly achieving our goal of 3 to 4 GW in 2030,” says Sandor Gaastra, Director-General of Climate and Energy. The Hydrogen Alliance in Costa Rica is promoting the formation of a working group around the project: “Law for the Promotion and Implementation of a Green Hydrogen Economy (HV2) in Costa Rica”, in order to achieve a feasibility that allows a prompt vote in second debate of this file. According to the group, the proposal will bring benefits for all people, among them that the development of the industry could generate between 84 thousand and 220 thousand jobs by 2050, while the chemical industry would grow up to 54%, according to studies conducted by the Alliance. They argue that hydrogen…
ESA, the French space agency CNES, and a collection of corporate and academic partners have launched an ambitious initiative to reduce CO2 emissions from orbital launches by developing infrastructure to enable a hydrogen economy at Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana. The initiative, known as HYGUANE (HYdrogène Guyanais A Neutralité Environnementale), aims to create a prototype plant within the Spaceport that is capable of producing 130 tons per year of so-called “green hydrogen,” with the aim of reducing Spaceport greenhouse gas emissions by a significant margin. The idea hinges on replacing “grey” hydrogen, which is created by a widely used but…
