Patriot Hydrogen has made substantial progress toward its aim of manufacturing modular, off-the-shelf pyrolysis systems that transform waste biomass into clean energy. The company has already produced its first proof-of-concept device, which will shortly be commissioned at Kilto Ranch, a Kimberley cattle station in Western Australia. Caterpillar Inc. has launched a project with District Energy St. Paul to test a 2.0 MW combined heat and power (CHP) plant fueled by different mixtures of hydrogen and natural gas. Thanks to $2 million in State Government financing, the Goondiwindi region of Queensland is one step closer to creating a regional hydrogen economy, fueled by local sunshine and recycled water. Embraer released new information about its turboprop aircraft project, which it plans to make available later this decade, at a meeting with journalists this week. According to Embraer CEO Francisco Gomes, the company’s new goal is to launch the project, if possible, in 2023.
