Hydrogen as an energy carrier has a number of advantages for cars. Nevertheless, the fuel cell has hardly become established so far. It could now make a breakthrough as a drive system for vans. This also raises hopes for the technology in the passenger car market. The fuel cell is back on the agenda. Wherever short charging times are important or high payload requirements prohibit the use of heavy batteries, developers are once again focusing on hydrogen technology. Hyundai has already taken it seriously and has the first vans on the road – Mercedes, Volvo and many others want to…
S.Korean president Yoon Seok-yeol said, “We will build a stable hydrogen supply chain,” emphasizing innovation efforts to transform into the hydrogen industry. “The government will expand investment in technology development to reduce carbon emissions and secure a foundation for hydrogen production at home and abroad,” President Yoon said at the 28th World Gas General Assembly held in EXCO, Daegu, on the 24th. The World Gas Congress is the largest gas-related international conference held every three years by the International Gas Federation, and is also called the Olympics of the global gas industry, with a large number of key figures from…
Holding of the EDP group closed a partnership with French energy to jointly explore and develop green hydrogen projects.
For the development of a “multi-user” port that will allow exports of hydrogen and ammonia produced in Chile’s Magallanes region
The global Hydrogen Fuel Cell market was estimated at USD 14.72 billion in 2021 and is anticipated to increase at a CAGR of 21.2% between 2021 and 2030, reaching USD 80.48 billion. Hydrogen fuel cells are utilized in a variety of applications, including automobiles, buildings, electronic gadgets, trucks, and/or emergency power systems. As these fuel cells are grid-independent, they are an attractive option for critical load applications such as telecommunication towers, data centers, emergency response systems, hospitals, and even national security military applications. A Hydrogen fuel cell is a device that creates electricity via a chemical reaction involving the transformation…
Pure Hydrogen Corporation (PH2), an Australian sustainable energy firm, will become a significant stakeholder in Botala Energy if the company is admitted to the ASX.
India is interested in collaborating with France in the area of green hydrogen, a government official said recently. Vandana Kumar, additional secretary, ministry of new and renewable energy, stated at a workshop on decarbonised hydrogen hosted by the Embassy of France in India and the Council on Energy, Environment, and Water (CEEW): “Our industry is very eager to participate in the green hydrogen movement on its own in terms of generation of hydrogen and production of various technologies, and we look forward to our cooperation with France in this regard.” Noting that the two nations have already reached an agreement…
In the design stage of bp’s blue hydrogen project, H2Teesside, ADNOC will have a 25% interest. This is ADNOC’s first investment in the United Kingdom. bp and ADNOC will now move on with the project, initially to the pre-FEED stage of design. With the building of two 500MW hydrogen production units by 2030, H2Teesside is planned to jumpstart the UK’s hydrogen industry at scale. The project is scheduled to begin operations in 2027.
Elogen and HiFraser Group have signed an agreement to collaborate on the marketing of electrolyzers in Australia and New Zealand. Elogen, a leader in PEM electrolysis specializing in the design and fabrication of electrolysers to produce green hydrogen, and HIFraser Group, a provider of technical, engineering, and manufacturing solutions to a broad range of industries in Australia and New Zealand, have signed an exclusive collaboration agreement to supply electrolysers to produce green hydrogen in Australia and New Zealand. As part of this partnership, HIFraser will locally construct the balance-of-plant components of Elogen’s state-of-the-art electrolysers and adapt them to Australian standards…
For the Italian automotive industry, focusing only on electric power as a tool to decarbonize road mobility is a mistake: it is necessary to look at a plurality of technologies with a neutral approach, focusing not only on batteries, but also on alternative fuels such as biofuels and hydrogen, which could give extraordinary results in the future. This is the opinion of two of the main industry associations in the sector – Anfia (National Association of the Automotive Industry Supply Chain) and Unrae (National Union of Foreign Motor Vehicle Representatives) – whose representatives spoke about this issue with the AGI…
