The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) announced a $1.5 million funding commitment on behalf of the Australian Government to finance a feasibility study into the development of a 40 MW hydrogen hub in Port of Newcastle, New South Wales. Port of Newcastle and Macquarie’s Green Investment Group will lead the $3 million study, which will be supported by project partners Idemitsu, Keolis Downer, Lake Macquarie, Snowy Hydro, Jemena, and Macquarie Agriculture and the University of Newcastle.
